Final Reflection "Feature" News Story: As the 2021 first semester comes to an end, Nora Olivier reflects on her work over the time. She is excited to have a break from school and enjoy the holidays. She exclaims, “Journalism has taught me a lot about writing, but I feel as though I didn’t do much throughout the semester.” Nora thinks about her other classes and how much she was involved and the amount of work she did and then she looks at Journalism and realizes she didn’t work very hard. She declares, “I will do more work and pay attention next semester.” Nora really enjoyed going to events and taking pictures and getting quotes from parents and students. She quietly says, “At first I didn’t like getting quotes because I was shy, but now I enjoy hearing what the parents have to say.” She remarks, “I have developed the skill of getting quotes from parents and just going for it rather than standing there shy and being awkward.” Nora struggled with journalism because you had to volunteer to do stories and that's something she wasn’t very good at. She liked the whole concept of journalism, but once in the class she got bored. Nora comments, “Next semester she will take more stories and really contribute to the Quill.”
